About Us
NightChurch is a new church. Our first Sunday service was on 10th February 2008.
We meet on Sunday at 6:30pm in the school hall at Kenmore State School on Moggill Road. You can find directions here. We also meet mid-week.
NightChurch is a congregation of Kenmore Presbyterian Church. We hope to grow another healthy church with a strong foundation of Bible teaching and training, and we would love to see others come to share our trust in Jesus.
Living in the Mercy of God
The Gospel of Jesus announces forgiveness and hope for all who put their trust in Jesus. Over the next few weeks at church we will be exploring the extent of the mercy of God - as we work our way through chapters 6-16 of the New Testament book of Romans. Meanwhile we are studying Romans 6-12 in Growth Groups. Here's the plan for Church on Sundays...
24 May - Romans 6-7 Living in the Mercy of God
7 June - Romans 8 Secure in the Love of God
14 June - Romans 9-11 Chosen by the Mercy of God
21 June - Romans 12 Responding to the Mercy of God
28 June - Romans 13 Authority and Love in the light of God's Mercy
5 July Romans 14:1-15:13 - Eating in light of the Mercy of God
12 July Romans 15:14-16:27 - Fellow Workers for the Gospel of God's Mercy
"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, ..." Romans 1:16-17 (NIV)
Relationships
On Sunday 16 April we will begin a series of talks looking at relationships. We'll look at what the Bible has to say about marriage, kids, sex, guidance and so on. It will be a good chance to reflect on what it means to be a Christian in whatever family situation we exist!

26 April God’s Plan and Marriage
3 May God’s Plan and Sin (sexual sin)
10 May God’s Plan and Children
17 May God’s Plan and Guidance
Easter 2009

The Priority of the Gospel - Philippians
On 1st March we begin a series of talks on Paul’s letter to the Philippians. It's a neat follow-on from 1 Timothy. In Philippians we'll see Paul give the Gospel pride of place, as he writes to a church facing opposition, struggles and doubts. The effect of the gospel on the lives of Christians is amazing.
Our plan for Nightchurch:
1 March The Hope of the Gospel
8 March Weekend at Home – No Nightchurch
15 March The Priority of the Gospel
22 March The Humility of the Gospel
29 March The Confidence of the Gospel
5 April The Practice of the Gospel
Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.
(Philippians 1:27a NIV).
Weekend at Home 7-8 March
No need to travel, no need to pack. You can sleep-in and have breakfast at home - and still be able to spend the weekend with your church family. Sometimes it's good for a family to have a weekend at home and enjoy each other's company in an un-rushed way. That's the intention with our church family weekend at home, in Kenmore.
Money-Wise
We'll look at the Bible together on Saturday morning - Peter Hughes (works with AFES in Sydney) will speak on Money and Materialism - relevant given the current financial melt-down. Peter will speak at church on Sunday too.
Bush-Dance
On Saturday night we'll have our first-ever kpc bush-dance - should be fun.
KPC-kids
During the session times we'll run a program for the primary schoolers.

Practice Being Godly - 1 Timothy
| We are looking at Paul's first letter to Timothy at church and in Growth Groups. It's a good way to refocus as we start 2009. You'll notice the emphasis on truth and on godliness. Pray that we would grow in godliness as we hang onto the truth of the gospel. Here's the plan for Sundays: - 18 Jan - Practice Being Godly (chapter 2) - 25 Jan - The Truth that Leads to Godliness (chapter 1) - 1 Feb - Godly Leaders (chapter 3) - 8 Feb - Training in Godliness (chapter 4) - 15 Feb - Godliness and Church (chapter 5) - 22 Feb - Godliness with Contentment (chapter 6) |
For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. (1 Timothy 4:8 NIV) |
